Wedding Information

Seeing as this is going to be a “Destination Wedding” there are some extra things you’ll need to know.

The wedding will be taking place on Jekyll Island, about an hour south of Savannah. There is a fee of $3 per day for each car to the island.

The ceremony will be on the lawn of Oceanside Inn & Suites facing the beach (not on it). There is a chance that there will be sandspurs in the lawn. Sandspurs grow in the dunes and drop seeds covered with spikes (for protection). Use caution with your footwear decisions.

The ceremony will begin at 5PM, sunset is estimated at 6:48PM. When the ceremony concludes the guests will be escorted to the reception while formal pictures are taken. Refreshments will be available during this time before dinner is served.

We are getting married at the beach. Keep in mind that it is still a marriage ceremony, attire is business casual.

  • Men – No shorts, flip-flops, or T-Shirts.
  • Women – No hoochies.

The reception will be held outside at the hotel where a plated dinner will be served. Make sure to include the number of each entree you would like on the RSVP card. Also, use the notes box on the back to let us know of any food allergies.

The ceremony will be held on Jekyll Island, but you are not required to stay on the island. There are several hotels and a campground located on the island, as well as some in neighboring towns. You can find more hotel information here.

There will be music, there will be dancing. Come prepared to boogie-woogie on our big day. This is not a suggestion, it’s a requirement.

We have registered at the following places. You can find more information about our registries and interests here.
